Nursery for ages 2-3
In our room, we have 3 specifically designed areas for our play and activities.
1 to 4 ratio
This room focuses on the children’s social skills as they begin to form friendships and learn alongside others whilst sharing resources. It also works to develop the children’s gross motor and physical development through providing a construction area for the children to build and balance and a craft area to encourage their emergent literacy and mark making skills. The children are encouraged to develop independence and self-confidence. They have their own named coat pegs and the room features a home corner where children like to develop their role play skills, imaginations and extend their home life experiences. Most children will go through potty training during their time in this room and are fully supported and encouraged with this. There is a separate child sized toilet exclusively for this room. There is exclusive access to a covered outside play area as well as a larger playground and the children often go for walks down the lane and around the village of Maxey.
We also have rooms in our nursery for children aged both 0-2 and 3-4 to continue with their growth and development in the same setting.
