First Steps Day Nursery, Maxey
Day Care Maxey
Situated in the quiet rural village of Maxey, just a short drive from Peterborough, First Steps Day Nursery Maxey is perfect for little ones who live in the city and its surrounding areas, including Market Deeping, Stamford and Bourne.
Since it was first established in January 1989, First Steps Day Care has upheld a strong reputation within the local Maxey area for providing exceptional private childcare for children aged 6 weeks up to 5 years of age.
Our day nursery Maxey ensures that your child receives the highest level of childcare by providing staff that are fully qualified and trained to a high standard. Our friendly team is dedicated to giving your child the best possible start in life by creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment that encourages growth and development.
We also like to provide a hassle-free service for parents. We understand that introducing your little one into nursery can create anxiety for the parent and child – that’s why we do our best to reassure and help your little one settle in.
We are also proud to offer funded childcare for eligible families as well as earlier opening times and later finishes – it’s all part of our commitment to support working families.
We also provide nutritious food which is freshly-prepared on site by our nursery cook, who was awarded a 5-star hygiene rating by the Food Standards Agency.
We carefully structure each day to ensure your children can develop their social skills and interactions. Being surrounded by a tranquil environment children are regularly able to discover nature with supervised access to our Nursery’s encompassed gardens and woodland.

Reviews from Parents
Here are a few reviews from parents of past and present children!
Enjoyable
★★★★★“ My child enjoys coming to nursery especially when they go on walks down the lane to see the animals. She settled well into the new room and she talks fondly of the staff.”- A TLovely Staff
★★★★★“ My son attended this lovely village nursery once a week. He settled in quickly and loved the staff. A great outdoors area that is used to the full potential. Frequent walks around the village and visits to the park which my son loved. Activities always taking place to help with the children's development (and plenty of fantastic arts/crafts coming home!). My son really enjoyed his time at First Steps and he developed leaps and bounds while in the setting. Would definitely recommend First Steps especially to families with children who love being outdoors.”- GillianSupportive & Lovely
★★★★★“ Both our sons were at First Steps Nursery from babies through to leaving for school, meaning we've had a relationship with the lovely staff there for the last seven years. The nursery has been supportive throughout, catering to our youngest son's speech delay and engaging with external professionals where necessary. We always felt confident that our children were well looked after and most importantly were very happy in the setting. There was a lot of feedback during each development stage and we like to look back on all the photographs and saved little comments that were recorded over the years.”- Lisa CComments From The Parents
