Promoting First Steps Nursery
Thank you to everyone who attended our Open Day. The weather was good, and we had a good turnout of parents, grandparents, and children. Many thanks to Neil for arriving in the police van, Liam for showing us his fantastic truck, and to Sarah for bringing Nellie the pony. Thanks also to Emily for bringing her cards, and Ros for sharing her sewing skills with us. The animals and paint a pot were a big success. Many thanks to the staff for working on a Saturday.
To continue to promote First Steps Nursery we are working with daynurseries.co.uk. If you could spare a few minutes to leave a review with them it would be much appreciated. Thanks goes to those parents that have already left a review. We have a change of Facebook page happening. You will find us at First Steps Nursery Maxey. The old page is being deleted this week. Please like and share our page. We of course continue to have our webpage, again under First Steps Nursery Maxey.
Future events at First Steps Nursery are as follows:
A Macmillan Coffee Morning is being held on Friday September 29th from 10am until 11am. Please pop in for a coffee, tea, and cake.
On Tuesday October 31st, we will be having a Halloween Day. Children are invited to attend in fancy dress. We will be doing Halloween activities. There are a few spaces available should you wish your child to join in the fun. Please see Lisa or Janet for availability
On Friday November 10th, we will be holding our first ever Christmas Fayre. This is for adults and will be from 7pm to 9pm. We have arranged for a variety of trades to bring along goodies to sell. It’s a great excuse to come out with friends and do some early Christmas shopping. Tickets will be on sale soon, at £2.00 per person to include a glass of wine and a mince pie. We look forward to seeing you at this event.
Children in Need is on Friday November 17th. Let’s dress up in spots to raise money for this charity.
First Steps Nursery Concert will be on Thursday December 7th at Maxey Village Hall at 10am. The Bumble Bees and The Dragonflies will take part in this. More information will be provided nearer the date.
Our Children’s Christmas Party will take place on Thursday 14th December in the afternoon. There are some spaces available should you want your child to attend. Please see Lisa or Janet for availability.
We will be having Stay and Play sessions on the following dates, Wednesday 1st November, Thursday 9th November, Tuesday 14th November, Friday 24th November, Monday 4th December, Wednesday 13th December, between 10.30am and 11.30am. You are most welcome to book to come along with your children, by emailing us at email@example.com This is also an opportunity for potential new customers to come along and see our lovely nursery in action.
Tempest Photography will be at First Steps Nursery on Monday November 13th at 8.30am until 11.30am.
Our telephone is now working. There was a fault on our line, that has now been fixed by BT. We apologise for any inconvenience this caused.
We are now able to offer early starts on a Tuesday and a Thursday. This is for a 7.30am start and is at a cost of £3.50. To book a place please see Lisa.
It has been suggested that First Steps Nursery children might like to wear a polo shirt or hooded top the same as the staff. This is for The Dragonfly and Bumble Bee children. This should help to protect their clothes. We would value your opinions on this.
